UplandParcs was founded with the idea of developing and managing holiday parks while taking nature and sustainability into account as much as possible. This mindset already played a key role during the construction phase, allowing us to design our parks to fit naturally and efficiently into the surrounding landscape. After all, sustainability and environmental awareness are becoming increasingly important in today’s world.
Insulation
At UplandParcs, we take sustainability and environmental protection seriously. In our newest holiday parks, this has already been considered during the construction phase. For example, the accommodations feature excellent insulation thanks to triple-glazed windows and optimal structural insulation.
Solar Energy
To reduce CO₂ emissions, our latest accommodations are equipped with solar collectors for hot water. This way, water is heated and stored using the power of the sun – so you can always enjoy a warm shower during your stay.
Ground and Air Heat Pumps
Several of our parks use ground or air-source heat pumps. Additionally, the heating systems in our accommodations are centrally controlled to save energy. Once you’ve checked out, the temperature in your holiday home is automatically reduced.
Saving Electricity and Water
All lighting is energy-efficient LED. In hallways and/or bathrooms, motion sensors ensure lights are only on when needed. This is convenient for you as a guest – and saves energy. Bathrooms are also equipped with water-saving shower heads.
Eco Button
Our latest accommodations feature an Eco Button that switches off all appliances and lights that don’t require constant power. Heading out for the day? With just one press, everything is turned off – and back on again when you return. It’s good for the environment and helps reduce unnecessary energy use.
Durable Materials
We’ve used as many durable, low-maintenance materials as possible – ideally sourced locally. A great example is the wood used for exterior cladding, which has been specially treated to reduce the need for ongoing maintenance.
In short: all these features not only increase your comfort as a guest, but also make a valuable contribution to environmental protection and sustainability.
