


The following conditions refer to an optional travel cancellation protection plan that can be added by the tenant at an extra cost. These terms specifically complement and amend Section 4 "Cancellation" of the General Terms and Conditions.
This travel cancellation protection is concluded between the tenant and Upland Parcs rent GmbH. It exists independently from the rental agreement between the tenant and the landlord.
The only trip covered under this cancellation protection is the one listed in the booking confirmation, which explicitly includes the extra option Reiserücktrittsschutz.
2.2.Only the booked accommodation is covered. Additional expenses such as transport or travel arrangements (e.g. flights, train rides, rental cars, motorhomes, motorcycles, boats) are not covered.
2.3.Other tourist services that were booked or purchased in reliance on the trip are also not covered.
The number of people listed in the booking confirmation are covered. The personal details of fellow travelers must be submitted during the online check-in via the respective "Mein UplandParcs" account.
3.2.The risk persons are identical to those listed in 3.1. Additional persons beyond that are not covered by this protection.
The Travel Cancellation Protection supplements the General Terms and Conditions by covering specific events that allow cancellation without paying the standard fees stated in Section 4.2 of the General Terms and Conditions.
4.2.The standard cancellation fees are:
A cancellation request including reimbursement must be submitted in writing to Upland Parcs rent GmbH.
4.4.One of the following events must have occurred to one of the insured or risk persons:
The following events concerning the insured person/risk person are covered:
5.1. Inability to Get VaccinatedVaccination requirements for the booked trip change after booking and cannot be met for medical reasons.
5.2. Organ Donation or TransplantA donation or transplant appointment is unexpectedly scheduled or postponed after booking.
5.3. Personal QuarantineA personal quarantine order issued by public authorities due to suspected exposure to a contagious disease.
Not covered: General quarantine orders affecting entire regions, towns, or groups (e.g. cruises), or if the traveler knowingly visited a designated risk area.
A risk person becomes pregnant after booking and the due date is before the trip. If the start of the trip falls within 8 weeks after the expected birth date, cancellation costs are covered.
If a risk person cannot travel due to one of the reasons listed above, Upland Parcs rent GmbH will reimburse the cancellation fees as outlined in Section 4.2.
6.2.The maximum reimbursement corresponds to the cancellation fee owed according to the General Terms and Conditions, and cannot exceed the total travel price.
The Travel Cancellation Protection does not apply in the following cases:
7.1.If the cancellation reason was foreseeable at the time of booking or when the cancellation protection was added. Foreseeable means the traveler knew or should have expected the issue.
7.2.For pre-existing medical conditions:
If the illness is a psychological reaction to:
If the cancellation is due to:
If the risk person attempts to mislead about relevant facts that affect the reason or amount of coverage.
7.6.If the cancellation was intentionally caused. In cases of gross negligence, reimbursement may be reduced accordingly.
7.7.Loss or theft of travel documents (e.g., passport, flight ticket) is not covered.
If the risk person fails to fulfill the duties listed below, coverage is void. In cases of gross negligence, benefits may be reduced based on the severity. This only applies if Upland Parcs rent GmbH has clearly informed the guest of this consequence in writing.

To verify the claim, all relevant medical documentation must be submitted. If this is not done, no refund can be issued.
8.3.The risk person must make every effort to minimize damages and avoid unnecessary additional costs.
Should individual provisions of these terms and conditions prove to be invalid or unenforceable, the statutory provisions shall apply as a supplement.
